Dr Kelly Wood

Hi, I'm Kelly. I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist back in 2011. I have many years of experience working in the NHS in a variety of different services including specialist OCD and specialist Neurodevelopmental services.
The practice is called 'Today' as this reflects our ethos - 'what is the little bit you can do today to try to make things even a little better?'

I am co-author/ co- illustrator of the book ‘Stand Up to OCD: A CBT Self-Help Guide and Workbook for Teens. I adopt a caring and nurturing approach along with creativity in my therapeutic work.

I have lots of experience of adapting assessment and treatment to consider the cultural and subcultural needs of the clients I work with, including clients who are LGBT and/ or other folks of colour.
Who we are
Hi, I'm Cathy, I am a neurodiversity-affirming Speech and Language Therapist, Autism and ADHD Assessor with 15 years experience in the NHS. I graduated from Sheffield University in 2009. Since then I have worked with children and young people in nursery, mainstream, special schools, child development services and CAMHS.
I provide comprehensive assessments and therapy that centre on a child or young person’s unique strengths and experiences. I also provide a safe space for post-diagnostic support to help children and/ or their parents better understand their diagnosis, embrace their individuality and advocate for themselves.
