Neurodevelopmental Assessments

ASD and ADHD logo

Our neurodevelopmental assessments are

conducted by experienced mental health professionals.

We assess children and young people age 8-18 years. We use gold standard, internationally recognised assessment tools and follow NICE guidelines.  The purpose of the assessment is to provide our clinical opinion via a comprehensive process.

We have significant experiencing assessing within NHS settings however due to differing NHS CAMHS policies regarding private assessment, no private service is able to guarantee acceptance of their diagnoses with individual NHS services/ Local Authorities.

We are able to offer combined assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Our approach to this is a bit different to some clinics and this is based on our many years of NHS experience.    We always screen for both ASD and ADHD and usually there is stronger evidence for one condition. We usually recommend assessing for that condition first.  We want you and your child to feel confident about the results of the assessment and for them to get the support they need to fit their needs. There is a lot of overlap between ASD and ADHD and we are keen not to overdiagnose. In other cases there is strong evidence for both conditions and so we will offer a combined assessment from the outset.
